Yes a spal hp fan will work if you are not using a/c. However, if you are driving around town with a/c on and especially with a auto trans, i guarantee you the car will overheat. Don't look at the stock temp gauge, it only starts moving from the middle position around 217 f . I have tried all new a/c condensor and a larger aluminum radiator with a 16 inch spal pullar with a 16 inch spal pusher in front and i could not keep the car cool in fl temps, it would simply heatsoak and no matter what you did with the fans it would slowly overheat. Yes i used a fully sealed shroud. Before you start pointing to engine, thermostat, blah blah blah, let me state that this was on a fresh motor with all casting flash removed and had no issues. My only solution was to switch to a new stock fan,clutch and shroud and had no issues. Temps stayed below 200 f. I really wanted the e fan solution to work but it simply does not work in this application with a full thermal load. Harry
